Wishing You a Happy 2020 + A Year End Sale!

It’s been a whirlwind of a year and 2020 is shaping up to be even more intense. We’re already hard at work at the post-production of On the Trail of… UFOs, the production of Mothman Legacy, and developing the rewards for the Kickstarter launch in February. Of course, we’re only able to head into 2020 with such big plans because of your continued support throughout 2019.

Our year really shifted into high gear this February with the success of our 2019 Kickstarter. Not only were we able to raise a record amount, but our number of backers also increased significantly. We were so encouraged to see the growth of our audience and to know that so many people wanted to be a part of the creation of these projects. Because of that success, we were able to do some amazing things.

Our next surprise was the reception of On the Trail of… Bigfoot. As some of you may know, “Bigfoot” was really an experiment on Seth’s part and a very personal journey. Because we had no gauge for how the series might perform after it’s release, it was made on the smallest budget possible with many of the shoots piggybacking off of other trips. It’s success, coupled with that of the 2019 Kickstarter, emboldened us to increase the scope and the budget for On the Trail of… UFOs which will be released in the first half of 2020.

A few months later, Terror in the Skies was released. Seth looks back on the shoot for Terror in the Skies very fondly, saying it was an unusually relaxed week compared to the typical chaos of filming. While the title implies that the documentary dips into the horror genre, it’s actually more of a love letter to the few mysteries left in the world. There’s a lot of sentimentality ingrained into this film and is bookmarked with touching scenes featuring Seth’s nephew, Grayden (who appears in several other films as well).

Lastly, of course, there was MOMO. STM’s first venture into narrative story-telling was born partially of necessity and also of a desire to take a documentary and do something completely different and unexpected. The entire crew put their hearts and souls into the project and created a film that we’re all truly proud of. If you haven’t seen it, we recommend that you give it a watch.

We hope that your 2019 was as rewarding as ours and that 2020 brings you happiness and fulfillment. From now through Friday we’re taking 25% of our posters and our $10 and under category when you use code STM2020. Here’s to another year!
