The MOMO Trailer is Here!

We are proud to unveil the trailer for the ninth Small Town Monsters film. Get your first look at the trailer for the latest movie from Director, Seth Breedlove, which combines documentary filmmaking and horror-based narrative storytelling in a brand new way!

A grindhouse-style poster created by artist, Adrienne Breedlove also debuted today along with the films official one-sheet by Sam Shearon.

In 1972 the small, river-front town of Louisiana, Missouri was stalked by a being dubbed “Momo”. The creature was seen by frightened residents for weeks before eventually being driven off into the nearby forests of “Star Hill”, never to return. In 1975, following the box office success of films like The Legend of Boggy Creek and Creature From Black Lake, a Movie was made about Momo: The Missouri Monster.

It was never released. Until now...

The latest release from Small Town Monsters and director, Seth Breedlove, is told in narrative and documentary form; the narrative portions under the drive-in inspired guise of a lost b-movie from the 70s. The horror retelling of the Momo story (said to have been inspired by Breedlove’s love of grindhouse movies and old “creature features”) is eventually contradicted by the actual people who lived through the events. The film stars Adam Duggan and Sara Heddleston, as well as Animal Planet’s Cliff Barackman and James “Bobo” Fay with special appearances by Janet Jay and Elizabeth Saint (Ghosts of Shepherdstown).

The films director, and co-writer, Breedlove describes MOMO: The Missouri Monster as “Rashomon meets Creature from Black Lake or The Legend of Boggy Creek”.

The latest title to crawl forth from the production powerhouse behind last year’s best-selling documentary on Amazon, On the Trail of Bigfoot, is set for a late September release. A midnight premiere is scheduled at the Kentucky Theater in Lexington, Kentucky on Friday, September 6th with some of the cast and crew in attendance. The premiere will coincide with Cryptid-Con; a cryptozoology and paranormal convention celebrating its third year and featuring a number of renowned authors, television personalities, and speakers.
