Cryptid: The Chupacabra investigates the roots of a modern legend. New documentary takes an in depth look at the legend of the Chupacabra

Massillon, OH - Small Town Monsters, the independent film company known for The Minerva Monster, The Mothman of Point Pleasant and many other films, investigates one of the most notorious monster legends of the 20th century - The Chupacabra. In the 1990s strange sightings on the island nation of Puerto Rico described a bizarre, bipedal, predatory creature, said to feast on the blood of livestock. In Cryptid: The Chupacabra the story of the monster known as the “goat sucker” is traced from its roots in Puerto Rico to more recent sightings in Texas and beyond. Featuring interviews with experts, witnesses and researchers, Cryptid: The Chupacabra takes an honest and comprehensive look at one of Cryptozoology’s most famous creatures. Directed by Eli Watson and produced by Seth Breedlove, the film provides an exploration of the Chupacabra through the honed lens of STM’s expert approach to documenting the strange and unsolved. Previously available only via limited release, the film arrives on VOD and DVD/Bluray on 5/17/24.

Released in Spring of 2015, "Minerva Monster" was the first film in the series, and explored strange occurrences in 1970's Minerva, OH.
